I work with clients using mindfulness and experiential based forms of psychotherapy to help them transform their lives. My philosophy is based in a firm belief that all of us are moving towards health and healing in the best way we know how. We want to live our lives more fully but often there are blocks preventing us from doing so. With a non-pathologizing approach I help clients to understand how coping strategies, although brilliant at conception, can become less helpful and out dated once we move into different environments. We can become stuck in patterns of behavior that don’t match what our lives look like in the present. Through mindfullness therapy, creative arts therapy and dreamwork I work with our unexpressed parts of in order to voice and incorporate those parts into our most authentic whole selves.

Life happens in the transitions. We experience many transitionary periods that can leave us stressed, confused, or anxious. I believe our highest goal as individuals is to strive for self-actualization, but we experience traumas that can detour our course. We must be given a safe, nurturing space to mend ourselves back together and find clarity in the interim.
Engaging in a creative process allows us to use our brains for imaginative problem solving to such challenges. I value curiosity and compassion in forming a strong therapeutic bond to support you on your journey. We will create a plan together that can help clarify your goals and concrete skills and tools you can use to resolve emotional difficulties or gain resolution.
With an integrative approach to trauma-informed care, I apply talk therapy, Art Therapy, mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in sessions. You are the expert on your own life. I will work alongside you in a collaborative approach helping and encouraging in this process. I have experience working with various populations: adolescents and adults, the BIPOC community, and the LGBTQIA community, with various issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, grief/bereavement, family dynamics, and self-esteem.
