I work with clients using mindfulness and experiential-based forms of psychotherapy to help them transform their lives. My philosophy is based on a firm belief that all of us are moving toward health and healing in the best way we know how. We want to live our lives more fully but often blocks are preventing us from doing so. With a non-pathologizing approach, I help clients understand how coping strategies, although brilliant at conception, can become less helpful and outdated once we move into different environments. We can become stuck in patterns of behavior that don’t match what our lives look like in the present. Through Somatic Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, and dreamwork I work with our unexpressed parts in order to voice and incorporate those parts into our most authentic whole selves.

Therapy is a space where we can slow down and tune into the deeper layers of our experiences. My approach is experiential, focused on honoring each person’s humanity and their capacity for transformation, while maintaining a non-pathologizing stance. I value the many forms of communication, both spoken and unspoken, and the ways in which we can uncover and articulate feelings through insight, creativity, and play. I aim to help clients reconnect with their authentic selves, break free from rigid patterns, and foster deeper intimacy and understanding in their relationships and in their lives. clara@creativeartspsychotherapynyc.com

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY, COUPLES THERAPY, FAMILY THERAPY
Sabrina (she/her) is a bilingual, trauma-informed creative arts therapist who values warmth, humor, and a deep respect for the uniqueness of each individual's experience. She approaches therapy with the belief that our relationships with others and with ourselves are deeply sacred. Using a relational therapy approach, Sabrina focuses on how our connections shape our sense of self and well-being. Her integrative method draws from multiple therapeutic modalities, including art therapy, somatic awareness, and traditional talk therapy, to meet each client exactly where they are.
Sabrina earned her Master's degree in Art Therapy from the School of Visual Arts and has experience supporting individuals across the lifespan, with a focus on youth and families impacted by trauma. Her clinical work is grounded in a strengths-based, relational, and culturally attuned framework. Through her work at Joe Torre Safe at Home and in previous community-based settings, she has developed a nuanced, trauma-informed lens shaped by both training and the lived experiences of her clients. She specializes in working with individuals who feel disconnected, overwhelmed by life transitions, or seeking to heal from trauma while honoring their cultural identity.
While art is not used in every session, Sabrina often incorporates creativity as a tool for deepened awareness, emotional flexibility, and alternative forms of expression. Her therapeutic presence is collaborative, client-centered, and responsive. Sessions can include traditional talk therapy, art-making, or a combination of both, depending on the client's needs. Sabrina offers sessions in both English and Spanish. Fee: $150.00
I believe therapy can be a space where we pause, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves. In my work, I've come to understand how sacred our personal relationships are. In a culture that often encourages us to prioritize self-sufficiency, it's easy to feel disconnected or isolated. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and invited to explore what genuine connection, warmth, and acceptance can look like in their lives. Humor, creativity, and collaboration are all part of the process, and I welcome the messiness that often comes with growth.
