January 2025 Newsletter: New Year, Same Goals

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year! As we approach the end of January, it's clear that 2025 has already presented its share of challenges. The recent wildfires in California, though now more contained, have left significant devastation. The political landscape continues to evolve, with unexpected developments capturing our attention. And of course, the tech industry's “shifting dynamics” remind us of the unpredictable times we live in.

The start of a new year is traditionally a time for reflection and setting intentions. However, with so much happening globally whether it’s distressing events or moments of joy (maybe more often the former) our personal goals can sometimes feel overshadowed by our collective empathy and concern.

It's natural to feel distracted, angry, or even hopeless in such times. But, I encourage you to reframe these emotions and focus on what we can control (Insert Serenity Prayer here) - actually I think I will insert it (literally).

"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference."

At CAP, we emphasize the importance of setting intentions and working towards meaningful goals. We view moments of reflection as opportunities to assess our paths, identify what's beneficial, and let go of what no longer serves us. While we cannot control natural disasters, political decisions, or potential bans on platforms like TikTok, we can control how we orient ourselves in our own lives. By focusing on our personal growth and responses, we empower ourselves to navigate an unpredictable world with resilience and purpose.

This year, I've come to realize that my goals remain pretty consistent year after year. Rather than seeking new objectives, for me, it's about perseverance, continuing on my path, evaluating what's effective, and making necessary adjustments to stay aligned with myself.

What about you? As you step into 2025, what intentions are you setting? What supports your journey, and what might be holding you back? Here's a question we often share with our clients to help reconnect with what matters most:

"When was the last time you felt most like yourself? The most joyful? The most alive?"

Take a moment to explore that memory. What made it special? How might you bring those feelings into other areas of your life?

If you're considering a deeper journey into self-discovery, we're here to support you. Contact us to begin your path today.

This month, we're revisiting our most impactful blog posts about goal-setting, new beginnings, and self-commitment. We're also thrilled to announce the opening of our newest office, with more exciting developments to come as we grow together throughout 2025!

Wishing you all a year of growth, resilience, and clarity.
